Tork Craft PCD Saw Blade 165mm x 4T x 20/16mm Fibre Cement MDF Chipboard

At a Glance: Industrial Blue 165mm PCD circular saw blade with 4 teeth, 20/16mm bore bushing, 2.2mm kerf and 8000 RPM maximum speed for fibre cement, MDF, chipboard and abrasive board materials.

The Tork Craft TCPCD16504-20 PCD Saw Blade is an industrial circular saw blade designed for demanding cutting applications where standard carbide blades can wear quickly. Fitted with Polycrystalline Diamond teeth bonded to tungsten carbide, this 165mm blade is ideal for cutting abrasive and composite materials such as fibre cement board, MDF, chipboard, plasterboard, floorboard, composite decking and fibre or glass reinforced polymers. The 4 tooth design, trapezoidal grind and deep gullets work together to deliver durable cutting performance, improved dust removal and controlled results when used with a suitable corded or cordless circular saw.

Industrial PCD saw blade for abrasive board and composite materials

Built for durability and clean cutting in tough sheet materials, this Tork Craft Industrial Blue blade is a strong choice for installers, builders, carpenters, contractors and fabrication users working with fibre cement, MDF, chipboard and similar abrasive materials up to around 30mm thick. Sound slots help reduce vibration, heat and noise, while the sandblasted finish gives the blade a clean industrial look.

Product highlights

  • PCD tooth technology: Polycrystalline Diamond teeth bonded to tungsten carbide for improved durability in abrasive materials.
  • 165mm blade diameter: Suitable for compatible circular saws requiring a 165mm blade.
  • 20/16mm bore bushing: Supplied with blade bushing for compatible saw fitment.
  • 4 tooth design: Designed for efficient cutting in fibre cement, MDF, chipboard and composite materials.
  • Deep large gullets: Helps improve dust removal during cutting.
  • Sound slots: Helps reduce vibration, heat and noise while cutting.
  • Industrial Blue range: Built for demanding trade and workshop cutting applications.

Extra Information

  • Ensure the blade diameter, bore size and maximum RPM are compatible with the circular saw before use.
  • Set the cutting depth correctly for the material being cut.
  • For best performance, no more than 1 - 3mm of the blade tooth should protrude through the base of the material.
  • This blade is intended for fibre cement, MDF, chipboard, composite and reinforced board materials.
  • Consumable products are excluded from warranty unless a confirmed production error is found.

Pro Tips

  • Use dust extraction wherever possible when cutting fibre cement, MDF, chipboard or plasterboard.
  • Do not force the saw through the cut. Let the PCD teeth do the work for better control and blade life.
  • Support sheet materials properly on both sides of the cut to reduce vibration and edge break-out.
  • Check that the blade is fitted in the correct rotation direction before starting the saw.
  • Keep the blade clean and free from resin or material build-up for smoother cutting performance.

How to Use

  • Disconnect the circular saw from power or remove the battery before fitting the blade.
  • Check that the blade diameter, bore and maximum RPM match the saw requirements.
  • Fit the blade and bushing securely, ensuring the rotation direction matches the saw.
  • Tighten the saw arbor bolt according to the saw manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Set the cutting depth so only 1 - 3mm of the blade tooth protrudes below the material.
  • Secure and support the workpiece properly before cutting.
  • Start the saw and allow it to reach full speed before entering the material.
  • Guide the saw steadily through the cut without forcing it.
  • Allow the blade to stop completely before lifting the saw away or setting it down.

Features

  • Polycrystalline Diamond teeth: Designed for durability when cutting abrasive board and composite materials.
  • Trapezoidal grind: TRAP grind supports effective cutting performance in tough sheet materials.
  • 75Cr1 steel plate body: Strong blade body construction for reliable circular saw use.
  • Deep gullets: Improves dust and chip removal during cutting.
  • Sound slots: Helps reduce vibration, heat build-up and cutting noise.
  • Sandblasted finish: Durable industrial finish for the blade body.

Benefits

  • Longer service life in abrasive materials: PCD teeth are well suited to materials that can quickly wear standard saw blades.
  • Cleaner cutting control: The blade design helps maintain stable cutting through fibre cement, MDF, chipboard and composite board.
  • Better dust clearance: Large gullets assist with removing dust from the cut line.
  • Reduced vibration: Sound slots help improve cutting comfort and stability.
  • Versatile board cutting: Useful for construction, installation, renovation, shopfitting and workshop cutting tasks.

Application

  • Cutting fibre cement board and cement fibrolite plate.
  • Cutting MDF and chipboard.
  • Cutting floorboard and plasterboard.
  • Cutting composite decking.
  • Cutting fibre reinforced and glass reinforced polymers.
  • Suitable for material thickness up to around 30mm.
  • Use with compatible corded or cordless circular saws.

Safety

  • Always wear suitable eye, hand, hearing and dust protection when using circular saw blades.
  • Always use the correct blade for the saw and the material being cut.
  • Using any tool can be dangerous. Follow all safety procedures and product instructions.
  • Do not exceed the maximum rated speed of 8000 RPM.
  • Ensure the blade is securely fitted before starting the saw.
  • Check that the blade guard operates correctly before cutting.
  • Do not use a blade that is cracked, damaged, bent, missing teeth or excessively worn.
  • Use dust extraction and a suitable respirator when cutting fibre cement, MDF, chipboard or plasterboard.
  • Keep hands clear of the blade path and support the workpiece properly.
  • Allow the blade to stop completely before setting the saw down.
