Extra Information

  • Use shallow passes followed by a cleanup pass to reduce splintering and tool load.
  • Ensure the template or guide edge is smooth and secure — bearing will follow any bumps.
  • Maintain good chip clearance — retract and clear chips often in long cuts.

Pro Tip

  • When trimming veneer or laminate, clamp a sacrificial strip outside the workpiece to avoid tear-out at the end of the pass.
  • For best finish, take the final pass from **left to right** (against the rotation) to minimize blowout at the edge opposite the bearing.
